This country house takes us on a journey through its unique decoration. This house uses opposites and contrasts to its benefit: from rustic stone to lime plaster, aged wood to stainless steel, tartan wool throws to Hindu Kush blankets. This house takes us around the world, through its 7 bedrooms with ensuites, each with a unique decor and equally providing opportunities to discover more about each location. Various books are at your disposal which describe the theme of each bedroom, either the Alaskan Fjords, the Tibetan plateaus, the Himalayan peaks or the Swiss lakes. On the top floor, a large bay window exposes the living space to the snow-capped peaks of Serre Chevalier. This main room is composed of a living room, a central fireplace, a Stéphane Barbier Bouvet designed kitchen, and a dining area accommodating around fifteen people. The lower floors have two independent entrances and seven bedrooms with three baths and four showers. On the garden level, the old vaulted, exposed stone stable has been transformed into a Native American style living room. Opposite the 70s stove inspired by a trip to the Easter Islands, there is a stainless steel and rustic wood bar - perfect for recounting the stories of ski tours with friends. This house has been renovated with great respect for its surroundings, using precious materials and ancient techniques. The underfloor heating is powered by solar panels.
Facing south, in the heart of the hamlet of La Chirouze in La Salle les Alpes, Serre Chevalier Vallée, the house is located at the foot of the shuttle bus that takes you to the slopes in 5 minutes.

The owner of this beautiful chalet shares recommendations with us.
The good local restaurant ? The best restaurant in the valley at Fabien Ferdinand in Chazal aux Guibertes and his very personal, local cuisine. A must.
The nearest market ? The small market in Salle les Alpes on Tuesday morning, or if you are ready for a taste of Italy, the Oulx Césane market 40 minutes from the house on the other side of the border.
The place to go for a drink or to go dancing ? The Boudoir in Chantemerle
The place not to be missed ? A stroll in the Clarée valley with its unique landscapes, whether it is to walk along the river, to get lost in the winding village streets in search of sundials or spend a night at the Buffère refuge.
The essential activity ? In winter: hiking on skis or snowshoes allows you to get off the beaten track and discover the mountains in a different way. In summer: you have to go for a walk to the many lakes (Lac de la douche, Lac de l'Oule, Lac du Pontet) or even try your hand at climbing!
